For genealogists, the arrival of low-priced DNA testing has provided a new and powerful tool for research. Questions that cannot be answered by traditional genealogy are now (sometimes) answered easily by DNA testing.
While genealogical DNA testing can often reveal the relationship between two or more people, it has next to nothing to say about individuals in isolation. Genealogical DNA testing is most useful for folks who have already done considerable work on their pedigree already, and have reached a “brick wall” in their genealogical research.
